HUNDREDS QUEUE UP FOR THE G1 PHONE
Thursday, October 30th, 2008A number of morning alarms rang earlier than usual across Britain today as harden G1 Phone fans drag themselves out of bed to go and stand outside T-Mobile shops across the UK to become the first of many proud owners of the G1 Phone with Google’s android operating system. Queues started to from as early as 7am and there are even reports that queues at T-Mobile’s London shop on Oxford Street started to from around 5am this morning.
The first Brit to bag himself a G1 Phone was Andy Burgess, a software programmer from Farringdon, London.
He said: “Being the first person in the UK to own this mobile phone is amazing – I’m going to be popular at work! I’ve been waiting for this phone for months and I knew I had to be the first to own it.”
Well done Andy, let us know what you think.
